In the year 1992 the union of knowledge and tradition at one side and a modern know-how on the other side were the basis for a brain new company. Between 1992 and 1996 the company MARTEX d.o.o. had in lease both the production and raw materials. In 1996 MARTEX d.o.o. bought everything from Keramix d.o.o. at the public auction.

Thanks to its successful company policies, the aim of which has always been a high quality line of products, MARTEX has become a leading and also the major manufacturer of floor ceramic tiles in Slovenia.

TECHNOLOGY

Our aspirations towards further development are the result of an effective collaboration of experts from various fields.

Introducing new materials and making use of the latest technical achievements in the production of tiles enables us to move hand in hand with changes that occur.

The company MARTEX uses superior Italian technology and raw materials of domestic origin. This enables us to manufacture ceramic tiles with very good mechanical and aesthetic properties. The quality of the products depends on a suitable clay and technology, but there are mainly two basic elements - experience and tradition. The company MARTEX relies on the knowledge and experience of technologists who are responsible for the development of new products. Since we know that the efficient energy consumption is a condition for a long-term success, we have already invested a lot in this direction. The company's constant care is related to the combined heat and power projects, as well as other projects and that is why the production is even more efficient and environmentally friendly.

THE COMPANY TODAY

MARTEX is the main tile manufacturer in Slovenia today.

The production process, located on 18,000 m2 of covered area and over 63,000 m2 of open area, is fully automated and computerized. Producing quality products has always been the leading rule in the company; it has never been there for its own purpose, but rather to satisfy the needs and demands of our customers. All this was made possible with the use of the latest technology, based on the use of robots and computers.

MARTEX offers a wide and differentiated product range able to respond to the aesthetic and functional requirements of our customers, with various combinations of colors, sizes and designs. The flexibility of our production line also enables adapting to special requirements, projects and desires of our individual customers. Our satisfied clients are from all over Europe - we are well known in Italy, Romania, Hungary and Greece, in all countries of former Yugoslavia, Africa and the United States.

The MARTEX philosophy has always been based on the offer of a technically advanced product with the highest quality standards. In 1999 MARTEX was awarded an ISO 9001 quality certification which covers the entire production process: from product design and development to production, final products and services at the highest technical level.
